In a context of struggles and poverty, the International Leadership Institute National Conference in Cuba impacted many lives.  In the midst of hardship, delegates faithfully attended the conference and had a powerful encounter with God. 

Years before, a man planted a small church, but was fiercely persecuted until the work was totally destroyed.  Instead of receiving support from other pastors in the area, he was left alone.

Pastor Alberto felt urged by God to visit this man the fourth day of the conference.  During the reunion, Pastor Alberto was a messenger of God's unconditional love and eternal purpose for this man’s life and ministry.  Pastor Alberto presented him to the participants of the conference and challenged them to help restore his ministry.  The response from people, who have so little, was overwhelming.  They not only came to him with loving words and warm embraces, but also from their limited resources, offered gifts to help continue the work of his church.  All were in tears and amazed, understanding that a miracle of restoration had taken place in front of them.
