Imagine holding a major outdoor evangelistic crusade under the threat of an imminent hurricane.

Dr. Peter Pereira, ILI President for South Asia and Director of Hope for Today (HFT), faced that possiblity as a strong cyclone bore down on India's coast just as he was about to begin a three day Good News Festival. The leadership team fasted and prayed asking God to turn the storm. "To everyone's delight, there was no trace of rain in Tuni though it was raining all around. On the first day God spoke to the people of Tuni by controlling the weather. He moved in a mighty way during the festival with one third of the city, over 10,000 people, attending on the third night to hear the Good News.  Over 1,400 people made professions of faith in Jesus Christ during the Crusade." 

ILI's training team in South Asia equipped leaders in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka last year.  Each leader developed fresh strategies for accelerating the spread of the Gospel.
