Do you see the hole in the wall?  That is where a tear gas canister hit. These words were spoken to Wes Griffin just before he preached at the All Saints Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Khartoum, Sudan.

Three weeks earlier at 12:23 am, men armed with machine guns fired nine tear gas canisters into the packed church. Dr. Griffin spoke to a packed church and the sermon was televised the next week on a major network. More than two million people have died due to civil war and genocide in the last twenty years in Sudan.

The current situation in Darfur is an ongoing world problem. Christians continue to be routinely persecuted. One leader who attended the recent ILI Sudan National Conference, stated, "It is like living with a noose around your neck."  God moved powerfully during the conferences with delegates planning more than twenty training events to be led by the alumni with local resources during this year.
